9412 Premium: How To Use It

Thanks for taking the time to learn about how to listen to 9412 Premium on your PC, Mac or Linux computer.

Note: As with any streaming media, there may be brief problems with internet connectivity, network latency or ISP issues. These usually are temporary and outside of our control.

Windows

There are several choices for players that run on the Windows platform. As with all platforms, you must have a cable or DSL modem or faster connection to listen to 9412 Premium without worry.

Windows Media Player 9, 10 and 11

The Windows Media Player (WMP) is a great way to use 9412 Premium because it can display "Shasta", 9412's system for showing current song information, current DJ information, easy request links and information about the last seven songs played.

To listen with WMP

1. Click on the appropriate link on our 9412 Premium Listen Now page.
2. When prompted for a username and password, enter the information that was provided to you when you signed up for 9412 Premium.
3. Click ok

That's it!

Winamp 5x or newer

Winamp is the recommended because of the ease of use and small memory footprint on your Windows system. To download Winamp, visit www.winamp.com. Any version of the most current Winamp will work, but to have a faster download without a large install, we suggest you download the free Lite version.

To listen with Winamp

1. Click on the appropriate link on our 9412 Premium Listen Now page.
2. When prompted for a username and password, enter the information that was provided to you when you signed up for 9412 Premium. This will be in the format of username:password.
3. Click ok

That's it!

Real Player

Real Player is not recommended for use due to it's memory usage, poor-quality audio and general kludgy-ness. However, we do support it.

To listen with Real Player.

1. Click on the appropriate link on our 9412 Premium Listen Now page.
2. When prompted for a username and password, enter the information that was provided to you when you signed up for 9412 Premium. This will be in the format of username:password.
3. Click ok

That's it!

Macintosh

There are no instructions for Macintosh because there is no Macintosh at the 9412 main office at this time. We know that you can listen to 9412 on a Mac and lots of Mac users love us (and we love them).

If you are a Mac user and would like to help inform others on how to listen with a Mac, please send step-by-step information with the player name and any other info to premium@9412.com.

First person to do so will get a 9412 Window Cling.
